There are many reasons why you might want to create a subdomain for your website. You could need to install a test version of your website on test.yourdomain.co.uk or perhaps you want to have a separate portal for customers like clients.yourdomain.co.uk. Whatever your reason for needing a subdomain, cPanel makes it really easy to do.
- Log into your cPanel (instructions here)
- Type 'Subdomains' in the search bar and click Subdomains
3. Type in the subdomain you would like 'e.g. Test' and specify the location of the folder, or leave as default, and click Create
4. That's it! Your subdomain is now setup - cPanel will even add in the DNS records for you. You can now place your website files in the folder you specified in 'Document Root' and you're ready to go.
